The Landlord’s Rights and Your Rights: No Fighting
If I said to name the first word that popped in your head after the word “landlord,” what would you say? Probably “Greedy.” Or “Mean.” “Evil.” “Son of a…” You get the point. Our culture loves to show the landlord as some sort of soulless scoundrel who obsesses over rent money and wouldn’t think twice about taking a kidney from a renter (tenant) who missed a payment.
The truth is…yeah, there are some landlords out there like that. But most landlords are fair and decent people. It’s just that their job means they have to take renting seriously, since they depend on the money coming from the tenants.
