Dave Kittredge
Dave and his wife Elaine have two sons, ages twenty and twenty-three, and live in the Pocono Mountains of Northeastern Pennsylvania. With twenty-five years experience in business focused on providing financial solutions to a wide range of consumer and commercial markets, he has pretty much seen it all. Prior to becoming a founding member of financialfootprint llc, Dave spent nearly twelve years as a Senior Vice President with Lincoln Financial Group, a Fortune 300 financial services firm. Dave has been on leadership teams directly responsible for business development, finance, relationship management and strategy of several start-up operations, including the highly successful Lincoln Financial Distributors.
Through both work and his experience with his two sons, Dave saw that young adults had no source for effective financial education. This recognition sparked his desire to build a business that addresses this issue. Whether it is helping students plan for college expenses or young working adults understand their 401(k), he aims to do so in a personal, objective, and helpful manner.
Dave received his BS in Accounting from Bentley University in 1984 and has held several FINRA securities licenses and leadership roles within Broker Dealers.
Phil Holstein
Phil is an experienced executive who has a passion for ensuring that people are financially literate, especially those that are under-served by traditional providers. Phil ran a highly successful financial planning firm for 15 years prior to being recruited as the President of Lincoln Life & Annuity Company of New York. He went on to run a change program that positively transformed Lincoln Financial Group’s UK division, where he also led its 2000 person strong sales division. Returning to the US, Phil joined Lincoln Financial Distributors as Senior Vice President and Managing Director, ensuring that people would have increased access to financial solutions. He has served in senior executive leadership positions with other insurance companies where he continued to play the role of strategic entrepreneur and change agent.
During his 30 years as an executive Phil has been an innovator. financialfootprint’s mission supports his enthusiasm for financial education, as Phil has been a life-long learner and teacher of financial planning concepts.
Phil received a BA degree from Hampshire College and two graduate degrees from Syracuse University—a JD from the College of Law and an MPA from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs. He is a Certified Financial Planner®. Phil and his wife Alyse have a son in the film business and daughter in human rights.
Dave Ng
Dave, being a young adult himself, has always been surprised that there aren’t more personalized resources for young adults to turn to when it comes to financial management. It wasn’t until he started working in financial services that he realized professional financial help, while incredibly beneficial, was primarily only available to affluent individuals.
Prior to founding financialfootprint llc, Dave spent five years with Lincoln Financial Group, working in areas of business development, investment management, and product innovation. Dave’s work eventually landed him on Lincoln’s research and development team where he was tasked to co-run Lincoln’s proprietary financial planning software business, serving over 1,000 financial planning teams focused on high net worth individuals. Within this role, Dave observed firsthand the positive results of partnering technology with human expertise, to deliver financial education and advice. Figuring out how to reproduce this high-end experience for a younger, less affluent, demographic drove Dave to co-found financialfootprint.
Dave received his BS in Political Science and International Relations from Northwestern University in 2005 and has held several FINRA securities licenses.
