Do I have to re-apply for financial aid every year?

Yes.  You have to re-apply for financial aid every year and depending on your financial situation (it might change); you may actually get more or less financial aid.  After your first time of filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), you will fill out the “Renewal Application” which will have some of the information you’ve already filled in from the previous year.

Another important factor to keep in mind is that you must meet satisfactory academic progress towards a degree or a certificate (like meeting the minimum number of credits and achieving a minimum GPA).
